My question: If he is not under the influence when he's in the driver's seat, what business is it of any of us what he, or any driver, does in their spare time? Also, if you want to really get down to the nut-cuttin', a driver that that got high on weed last night is actually in better shape to be racing tonight than a driver who is hungover from getting drunk last night. With a hangover comes dialated pupils which are extremely sensitive to light, headache, nausea, and overall feeling like a piece of crap, but I guess that's ok since alcohol is the governments legal drug of choice, even though it leaves the driver at much less than 100%.

Should have known better than to try and post in a thread with so many losers and general rejects, obviously most of you will sympathize with people who are just as big of losers as you are.

What a self glorifying pompous bag of wind you are. Why don't you put yourself at the top of the loser list. Who the fuck do you think you are to judge anybody? frown

Neither a drug addict nor someone who is supportive of a repeated one.

Do you drink alcohol beverages, use tobacco in any form, or drink any caffeinated beverage on a regular basis? If so, then you are a drug addict and a pompous, "holier than thou," hypocrite. Only difference is that you are addicted to drugs the government has deemed legal and socially accepted. Myself? I don't do illegal drugs, have had 2 beers in the last 3 1/2 years, but do use tobacco and caffeine on a regular basis.

Yea, pretty sure you need to learn how to take things in context.

If you twist anything enough you can make it sound however you'd like. The fact is he is banned from Nascar and has repeatedly gotten in varied forms of legal trouble, be it for a temper tantrum or with drugs. I was so wrong about him, he is such a high quality person and someone the sport is lucky to have.

So caffeine is on par with illegal drug use? Some of the people on here go over board regarding Tyler Walker. But come on. Some of the people on here go way overboard the other way to dismiss drug use.

It's not twisting, it's truth. Btw, who are your favorite musicians and "stick & ball" athletes?

Depends on the illegal drugs you're comparing caffeine to. When it comes to meth, heroin, and etc, you're right, caffeine doesn't compare. I think we can see that Walker isn't addicted to those or he would be nothing but a burnt out shell by now. As for marijuana, it's probably not as bad alcohol. I have a couple of friends that have been smoking weed for 35 years and contrary to what people of your beliefs would imagine, they're not sitting on the couch all day, eating cold pizza, and watching tv. They both own and operate very successful businesses.

what makes tyler any worse then people like balough, opperman, fox, olson, hewitt kinser.....shit dude, the list goes on and on......the difference is that in todays "politically correct racing circles"....the partying and getting crazy after the races or as part of a racers life is frowned upon.....where in the past, it was an accepted part of the racing scene.....and you know what....it was one hell of a lot more fun back then.

ever hear some of the shit those guys use to pull.....some got away with it and some got arrested but everyone laughed about it.

kenny weld....one of the greatest racers and minds in racing....made some bad judgements but still had the records to show for his career......some could never accept his past....

gary balough.....had to get bailed out at syracuse one year to run super dirt week....after being drunk and in jail all night he came to the track and won the biggest modified race of the year....

all the partying and all night festivities in the barns durning the knoxville nationals every year....think those guys were hanging out bullshitting and drinking sweet tea? nope.....and they all raced the next day

maybe these things were not "right" but thats the way it "was"........so tyler is a little crazy....so freakin what? at least he isnt one of many cardboard cutout politically correct sponsor ass kissing boring fuckers that want to take racing "to the next level".....fuck that....lets race and then party till the sun comes up....dammit

Whether you like Tyler or not it's hard to deny the excitement he brings when he races. Not many drivers have the guts to do what he does on the track. Does it pay off all the time? Absolutely not!! Is it fun to watch? YES! In a sport thats borderline fading, sprint car racing needs guys like Tyler to fill the seats. I personally wouldn't go to the races if it wasn't for guys like Tyler, Haudenschild, Madsen and so on.

If you want to dislike a driver because of a proven fact that yes, he did test positive for drugs then thats your own right. As for me, I'll be attending the races because I know i'll get excited following my favorite sprint car drivers and their hard nose driving styles.

Love this post. Especially the last paragraph as it sums up how I feel about this whole topic.
