Competition RC is good if you like driving electric toys on carpet, i personally think the electric toys belong at Christies toy box, i prefer the nitro burning buggys and truggys on dirt on a minature motocross track.

There is no carpet at Competition R/C. There is an indoor paved oval and a huge outdoor dirt oval.

There are also more nitro cars than electric running outside.

The outdoor season ended last week but, the newest and largest class is called Super Late Models. These are 1/8 scale nitro buggies with late model bodies. You should come check it out next spring.

The last time we were out at Competition R/C the outdoor track was a joke. It was like a big sand box. For real off road racin and great competition nothing beats Action R/C's track, sorry. My opinion of course.

Jerry I figured you a guy for speed & not the "bump & jump" thing!!! Those full bodied cars fly on the outdoor oval! Used to be a dirt oval inside a few yrs. ago & it was a blast. Turned my fair share of laps on it!

Hey Bob, hows it going? Missed seeing you as much this yr.! Maybe I'll be around more next year.

For off-roading Action R/C is excellent no doubt. But for oval racing, paved or dirt, Competition R/C is as good as any in the country.

Hey Flash. You need to come hang out with us some Sat. night.

Flash, the cars have the speed and the bump and jump, there is some long straights, and these things fly, action rc had a oval track for a while, they ran 1/10th sprint cars on it, i thought they were kinda boring, i thought the track was to short, Bullitbob do you have one of these late models, they sound kinda cool, i would like to check one of those out, are the the 1/8th buggys and do they use the.21 engines?

Jerry, I've ran 1/10th dirt oval all over the place along with Bob, he's a multi-time national champ! The best r/c driver I've ever seen. One of the best times I had racing was in the National's in Texas, finished 12th in the nation against sponsored drivers!!!! I've run the sprint cars & the late model electric cars & they are a blast on dirt. We even ran on clay w/foam tires!

Yes superman, the cars are 1/8 buggies. Most of the cars are the ready-to-run kits that go for $400 to $500. It takes about another $150 for a late model body and a set of spec tires.

Most of the kits have .26 engines, some have .32. This class didn't start until late summer so I decided to wait and see if it would take off. It only took about three weeks to get to about 15 cars.

This is a very cool class. Almost as much fun to watch as they are to drive.

Do they have any of these to look at up at competition rc, it wont be long before everyone switches from the rtr cars to more of the racing buggies and engines in those, they are alot more durable and handle alot better, and those rtr engines are pretty low on horsepower compared to others, are you running tonight up there, i might come by there tonight.

Yes, there will be some there to look at. I think they are trying to keep this class a RTR type deal to keep the cost down. Not sure about next season's rules, but last season they had a $500 claimer rule for chassis and engine only. Not radio gear, tires or body. None were ever claimed though.

Flash, I can't loan you a car. You might kick my ass with it... make me look bad.wink

Bob, you know as well as I do that I haven't drove one of those in a few yrs. It might take me a heat race or two to run up front again!!! wink Looks like I might be able to make it tonight. What time does it start again?

Back when Competition RC used to have a dirt track on the inside Cody raced there in the winter time and we had lots of fun. We had a sprint and a modified. Once they got rid of the dirt it wasn't as much fun and we started racing mini sprints.
