Topic: UMSS at Cedar Lake postponed to May 5

With unseasonably cold temperatures along with rain/snow showers in the forecast, track and series officials have cancelled the UMSS show at the Cedar Lake Speedway on April 28. The good news is the UMSS will try again at CLS next Saturday May 5 with the feature winner earning $1,000 thanks to some sponsorship from GRP Motorsports. Pit gates open at 3:00, hot laps are scheduled for 5:30 and racing is slated to get underway at 6:00pm on May 5.

This will give me along with other area sprint car fans the opportunity to take in two exciting nights of racing action next weekend with the big Spring Sprint Car Special at Jackson on Friday and the rescheduled UMSS show at Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday. I sure hope the weather will cooperate next weekend.

I'm very happy to see this race rescheduled for next week. I wasn't going to be there tonight but my car will be fixed in time for next week's show. I look forward to racing at CLS.

Almost forgot, but that will make it three for three possible next weekend for sprint car fans. Great variety too with Jackson, CLS and DCS. Darn weather better be nice for a change on the weekend.
