Like the man says, it will be an accelerated construction process but they hope to have it finished by Nationals, weather and other factors permitting. http://www.kniakrls.com/2012/04/groundbreaking-begins-on-cobblestone-hotel/#more-106949

Darbo,

Don't know about you, but I've seen more "business friendly" action from the city since the new city manager was hired. Hope this trend continues and Knoxville can keep the City Manager in place for years to come.

In my lifetime, i know for certain we've went through 4 or 5 city managers and this is the first one that has actually done what it takes to get new businesses in town and seems to "get it" when it comes to working with the Raceway for tourists. (Read the new Sprint Car & Midget where Toby Kruse states that the city is working with them for a golf cart path for fans).

I hope the new hotel is open for business by Nationals, but man, that's a tough timeline (today is April 24th, that means 100 days from groundbreaking until opening night of the 360 Nationals).
