If you want to make Perris more fan friendly here are a few things that could be done. Lower, or

get rid of parking fee. Remove the no reentry sign at the front gate. Perris is the only race track I know of that is not stamping hands for reentry!

The racetrack doesn't have any say about your gripe Sir. Once again the track itself is on fairground's property and all that you mention is not a fault of The PAS crew themselves

That's right, the fairgrounds seem's to have the track between a rock and a hard place, and apparently they have no regard for what their actions bring.

Goes to show how greedy the city of Perris is,all the other tracks that are on fairground property in the state of California don't charge people to park for the races. That city is so broke that they're are trying gouge anybody they can, but they sure had the money to buy two council members each a 40 thousand dollar car for business purposes? When they could've bought two cars for a little over 40 grand but those weren't large enough the council members said! Prime example of goverment living large at the exspense of everyone else!

Placerville Speedway on El Dorado County Fair property, charges parking. Calistoga Speedway on Napa County Fair property, has charged parking for many years. This is nothing exclusive to the PAS and or that fairgrounds. Parking lots are cash cows for the fairs, and they know it.

NO race track I know of, has a NO REENTRY sign or policy! I have been to many race tracks all over the US and have never seen this before.

Perhaps the fairgrounds is trying to drive the race track out of business? They seem to be succeeding, with the price to park, no reentry and food prices. I don't believe I will be walking thru the gates until they figure out a way to get back to "fan friendly" conditions. Sorry, love the racing and track itself but its highway robbery what is going on there. Tulare is the perfect model for a fairground facility, none better.
Cheers!

A question for those who would stop going to the PAS as a result of the fairboards idiotic decisions-Why would you penalize Donnie K. and his efforts to keep our sport alive because the morons on the fairboard are bent on making our Saturday nights more expensive and inconvenient. The same people who bitch and moan that they won't go back until the parking prices are lowered or re entry is allowed will be the loudest whiners if the PASwere to close. F* the fair board-we all should be doing everything to support the PAS and it's unwavering support of the sport we love. JMO

Oh I'll definitely be contacting the fairboard and will be expressing my opinion to them. The simple fact is a night at the PAS has priced itself outside my budget. I'm not blaming the track, but the policy of the fairgrounds itself is to blame. The other aspect is when spending a pretty good amount on a night of entertainment you want it to be enjoyable and the fairground policies detract from that enjoyment. I will tell you this, the fairgrounds and the community of Perris at large will lose out big time if they force the closure of the track.
Cheers!

It's a shame but I guess my statement rings even more true after the no re-entry deal last night.

Bob never noticed that the view was blocked by tall trailers i know when they designed the track that the back strait is higher than the front strait and ive sat all over the pas from the front row on the front stretch to upper rows in 1 and four and ive never been in a bad seat in the house . now i think the teams like being in the infield because of easy access to the cars under reds and also the work area in turns 3 and 4. there is no easy in and out gate for the cars and teams at the pass like at hanford , tulare chico , etc . imo the car access is the main reason for pitting inside . but this may all change soon enough .

Just to be clear, I am not advocating taking them out of the pits, just keeping the view of the cars clear. I love the fact that they pit in the infield. Don't know what to tell you if you've never noticed that the tallest rigs block some of the view of the back straight when they are parked in the back row, because they definitely do. (And, I know the back straight is higher than the front straight, precisely so that the fans have a better view of the whole track.)
