Weather Forces Cancellation At BMS

(Rescheduled For Next Friday April 27th)

Tulsa Oklahoma (April 20, 2012) – Due to the rain that fell upon the Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker Oklahoma overnight, the much anticipated 2012 season opener for the winged sprint cars of the Oil Capital Racing Series that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed. Promoter Mark Brill has tabbed next Friday night as the make-up date for the OCRS warriors. Gates will open at 4:30pm with racing getting under way at 7:30pm. Come on out on next Friday April 27th and witness the 2012 season opener for the OCRS sprint cars!

Check with www.ocrsracing.com for additional updates, news and videos.

Just wondering how committed is Joe Wood to racing OCRS at BMS? Sure would like to see the 03 mix it up with the ASCS guys in the bullring at Salina.

Not all tracks have a staff that can do a different night w/o a fair amount of notice. There are several tracks that have workers that are mere volunteers or work for minimum wage like hours for extra cash. These are people with other agendas in their lives and it's not always possible to get everyone to switch nights quickly. When a few of those are "key personnel", then you have a problem with last minute changes.

Unless he has changed his mind and told you different since Sat. night , Joe Wood Jr. will be in my car at BMS racing with OCRS.

unfortunately gary has previous commitments that night and we will not be able to attend. i`m really wondering about the logic of going head to head with a ascs show on the same night
