With the huge amount of rain over the last day and a half and the 100% forecast for more rain tonight and tomorrow, the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway has been forced to cancel this Saturday's event featuring the KWS 410's, West Coast 360's and IMCA Mods.

The King of the West Series will return to action Saturday April 21 at the Marysville Raceway Park.

Gonna be a make up day on 5/11 they already have the KWS and USAC west coast 360s scheduled for 5/12 so this will make it a two day show and will be called the FARIA MEMORIAL WEEKEND . I'll see you at the track.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Sounds like KWS wingers only on Friday the 11th, but maybe Lance knows if it's a two-day show for the USAC WC 360s, as well. Picked up from the Nor Cal Sprint Car forum:

Thunderbowl Raceway reschedules King of the West Series rainout to make “Chris & Brian Faria Memorial Weekend” on Friday & Saturday May 11 & 12

By Gary Thomas Tulare, CA – April 13, 2012…

The Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway & Cancen Oil King of the West Series presented by Goodyear are pleased to announce that this weekend’s rainout has been rescheduled for Friday night May 11. The newly announced date will make for an action packed KWS double-header at the Thunderbowl Raceway on May 11 & 12, which is going to be billed as “Chris & Brian Faria Memorial Weekend,” paying tribute to a pair of brothers that lost their lives far too soon. “We are extremely thrilled to have two full nights of 410 Sprint Car racing with the King of the West Sprint Cars,” said Don Sharp of Thunderbowl Raceway. “The track worked hard with the fairgrounds to secure the May 11 make-up date, because we know fans are hungry for 410 Sprint Car racing with all the rainouts so far in the early season.” The “Chris & Brian Faria Memorial Weekend” will be the second two-night show for local 410 Winged Sprint Car racing since the year 2000 at the Tulare Thunderbowl. The one-third mile clay oval has built a reputation over the last handful of years to be one of the most exciting dirt tracks in the west and everyone is thrilled for the KWS double-header. “If you’re a fan of sprint car racing this is going to be a great weekend to come out, show your support and pack the stands,” commented King of the West Operations Manager George Hague. “The Tulare County Fairgrounds offers a great campground as well, so we encourage all the fans to come down, camp out and enjoy two night’s of racing at the Thunderbowl.” Many of the state’s top 410 Winged Sprint Car drivers will be in action at the Thunderbowl Raceway on May 11 & 12, including Roth Motorsports throttle-masher & defending King of the West Tim Kaeding, Williams Motorsports wheel-man & two-time state 410 champ Jonathan Allard, National Sprint Car Hall of Famer & 13-time state titlist Brent Kaeding, local favorite Tommy Tarlton of Easton and more. “Two-night events aren’t seen as much anymore, but it’s something we’d love to have more of, so the “Chris & Brian Faria Memorial Weekend” will be important to show everyone that they can be successful,” said Hague. “We want to thank the whole staff at Thunderbowl Raceway for scheduling the make-up date and we’re looking forward to May 11 and 12.” The Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway is located at the Tulare County Fairgrounds on the corner of Bardsley and K Streets in Tulare. More info can be found at http://www.thunderbowlraceway.com or by contacting (559) 688-0909. The Cancen Oil King of the West Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear will head to the Marysville Raceway Park next Saturday April 21 for the second round of the 2012 season. It was announced on “KWS Tonight” that the legendary Jimmy Sills will be aboard the DES Racing No. 6up next Saturday in Marysville. One week later the tour will make a visit to the Placerville Speedway on Saturday April 28, before getting set to invade the Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday May 5 for the 22nd annual “Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial.” As always lap money for the Bradway Memorial is up for grabs to interested parties or individuals. If anyone would like to purchase a lap for the Bradway Memorial please contact Dave and Dianne Durica at [email protected] or 916-988-5958. All the money goes back to the racers and helps make this event unique and special like it has been for so many years. The laps cost $100 and are split between the top 3 in the A-main and LCQ each lap. The leader gets $50, 2nd place $30 and 3rd place $20.
