(The Big Guy Jason Statler will be a guest this week on "KWS Tonight" & we will talk about the long-time support he's received from a pair of people in his career)

Cody Lamar/ Jason Statler interviews, a look back at the 410 return to Antioch in 2003 & a preview for Saturday's opener

With excitement and anticipation in the air for this weekend’s opener, King of the West Series Rookie of the Year contender Cody Lamar and former state champion Jason Statler will be guests on “KWS Tonight” this evening at 7pm.

Saturday night will be the season opener for KWS at the Antioch Speedway and we will give our thoughts on the upcoming campaign and what fans should look for during the year. This weekend’s event looks to be stacked with a number of drivers hoping to come out on top.

Lamar will be making his debut at the Antioch Speedway on Saturday as he kicks off his first season with the Cancen Oil King of the West Series presented by Goodyear. We’ll talk about his goals and how excited he is to bring the famed Tri-C No. 3c back to the traveling 410 circuit.

We will also speak with Statler, who finished fifth in the series standings last year and is back once again in 2012 aboard the familiar DF Rios Motorsports No. 00. “The Big Guy” shares his thoughts on last season and also speaks about the support he’s received from Dave Rios throughout the years, as well as crew chief Mark Bristow.

The “Kaeding Performance Flashback” this week will feature highlights from the 410 Sprint Car return to Antioch in 2003, which was captured by our guest Jason Statler. The track hadn’t seen 410 Sprint Cars for roughly five-years prior to the event in ’03.

We will also take a look back at last year’s KWS season-opener from Antioch on this week’s “Goodyear Highlight Reel.” The night of action saw two-time state champ Jonathan Allard claim victory after a rough and tumble main event.

We will also talk about Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort’s involvement in Saturday night’s race and how important it is for all fans to redeem the $25 player cards that they will receive at the event. We want to show Jackson Rancheria that KWS fans are some of the most loyal around.
