Heard that someone named David Robinson Jr. was killed in an accident on I-80 near Auburn, Ca.

Does anyone know if this is the sprint car driver from Foresthill who runs in the Civil War Series?

I dont think it is. The person killed was a 29 year old tow truck driver, and I believe the sprint car driver is older and owns a machine shop. Small world that there are two David Robinson Jr's in the same area.

The Auburn Journal article said he was one of the best bowlers around

and had bowled professionally. It also said he was part of the saftey crew at All-American Speedway in Roseville, but said nothing about him being a racer. Let's hope it is just a common name co-incidence. No mention of "Powerfeed."

To my knowledge it is purely a name coincidence. Dave Robinson the former sprint car driver is a resident of Foresthill, not Citrus Heights as is noted for the Dave Robinson Jr. that was killed on I-80. While very tragic, I do not believe this is the same person.
