With just over two weeks remaining until the King of the West season opener, “KWS Tonight” will feature a former champion and a brand new competitor to the tour on this Thursday’s show at 7pm pst.

Elk Grove, California native Kyle Larson will be on the line to talk about his K&N East Pro Series debut last weekend at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The 19-year-old will return to Silver Dollar Speedway this Friday and Saturday for the annual Mini Gold Cup, after beating the World of Outlaws at the Gold Cup last September.

We’ll also have new King of the West Sprint Car Series driver Chad Compton call-in to speak about how excited he is to run the 410 this season. The Fair Oaks, California driver will talk about the challenges he is expecting and why his team decided to step up to KWS in 2012.

The “Kaeding Performance Flashback” this week will showcase Grove Hill’s highlights from the 1999 Mini Gold Cup in Chico. The event was noteworthy, due to the fact that it was two-time World of Outlaws champ Jason Meyers first sprint car win. A future NASCAR star also finished runner up on opening night that year to 13-time state champ Brent Kaeding.

We will also announce the date of our 2012 championship awards banquet/ fanfest on the show and give an update on two new contingency partners for the King of the West Series.

As Jason Meyers "All Star Appreciation Tour" continues this weekend at the Mini Gold Cup in Chico, we will take a look back at his first ever sprint car win on this week's "Kaeding Performance Flashback." That victory just happened to occur at the Mini Gold Cup in 1999. Photo by Tear Off Heaven Fotos.

That was some good stuff. I didn't know Sweet, Larson and Derrah all live in the same appartment complex.
