Ventura, California – March 1, 2012 – Ventura Raceway, “The Best Little Dirt Track in America” has signed on to broadcast live racing on 3Wide Networks. Starting with the March 3rd season opening event and running through the entire 2012 schedule race fans can watch live at http://www.3widenetworks.com

Ventura Raceway has a rich tradition of great short track racing dating back to 1924 when the original ½ mile dirt track was opened. The 1/5 mile, high banked clay oval is owned and operated by Jim Naylor, who is also the Track Announcer. Ventura Raceway is also home to Cory Kruseman's Sprint Car Driving School and the popular VRA Sprint Cars.

Track promoter Jim Naylor noted the track has under gone a bit of an expansion over the off-season. “We moved the fences out 15 feet on each end, widened the front and back stretch, there’s going to be a lot more passing with the added racing surface and changes in the banking. We are excited to join 3Wide Networks; we look forward to broadcasting Ventura’s events to race fans all over the world.”

About Ventura Raceway. Ventura is a 1/5 mile dirt oval located at the Fairgrounds in Ventura, California. Also known as Seaside Park the track is home to the popular VRA 360 sprint series.
