2012 USAC/CRA DRAG LINK RULE
The rule change regarding steel drag link and tie rods with steel heims will not be in effect for the 2012 season, except for national points races. This will allow teams to use up their existing parts. It will be mandatory for 2013.

It would've been nice to know this a couple weeks ago,as I wonder how many teams have already spent the money to buy this stuff and now don't even need it until the end of the season.(I know we did) I realize we're not talking about a large amount of money here,but it's the principal you either make something a new rule or you don't.It always seems that these brilliant ideas end up costing someone money before the powers that be have actually looked at the big picture regarding their decisions!
