We were there for all nights and Wednesday and Thursday the track was very narrow all night. Literally no passing in the heats, which isn't too uncommon with the Outlaws. The features were so so because of the heavy track. Friday rains out so what can you do? Saturday the track opened up a bit but still rather heavy all night. Sunday we skipped the makeup race for relaxation looking at the ocean all day and that was the right choice. Reworking the track sure helped Sunday's feature as the teams were blistering tires in the 8 lap heat races. An exciting feature to cap off the weekend! We went in the pits every night but couldn't help but notice that general admission for Sunday was $39. We paid $40 for pit passes all week. That seems kind of high when there is no sanction fee don't you think? Not sure how much general admission was the other nights... All in all a great week with mainly great weather! Back to Ohio now, come on global warming! Chris McIntire

if you want to watch the woo run, that's normal pricing. 45 is average for their show and i agree....

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

I'm about to spend well over $1,000 on the woo westcoast swing. From Vegas to Calistoga. Hotel , fuel and entry fees. It will be all worth it if a California driver can win a race or two.

I just spent 1500 bucks snowmobiling for 3 days. Everything is expensive.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Hey BRR, attendance was real good for Outlaw shows which were over the weekend. The All Star shows are always lighter. They do a great job there with food choiCes and the people are very nice. Some real stout competition between the Posse and Outlaws! It's well worth the trip if you haven't gotten there yet.

I agree...more food choices than most tracks...we went down a few years back and it was almost as cold there as it was here...which hurt ticket sakes.

Advance tickets for a WoO show in ND, SD, MN or at either of the two tracks near Lincoln,NE, Eagle and Nebraska Raceway Park (or whatever it is called today) were never over $35 or $36. Maybe because they were all in advance, not sure, but $40 would be high for the upper midwest states, mid to high $30s ok but prices in the $40s just seem to be in another stratosphere but everything is expensive and how long can prices stay in the $30s.

I remember in the early to mid '70's concert tickets were in the $5 to $7 range too - now they're at least 10x that ... it's called inflation.

Mr. Mac, confused with your wording 'stout competition between the Posse and the Outlaws', lol. The Posse got hammered again on neutral ground, missed many A's, passed very few cars when they did and generally were embarassed as per usual. At least that's what the stats show, trying not to bring them up tho', usually gets everyone nasty and ugly and then the lies start. Ahhh, some things never change and the Posse getting pounded away from the Grove is one thing smiliar to death and taxes.....

PS Any sighting of that Donut guy?

Mike, no donut shack...they do have deep fried Oreos though but that's not my thing, lol! Racing was strange thisyear with such a heavy track and minimal passing except for Sunday's feature. I can live with it because the weather was warmer than average, for once.

Car counts were only 35-40...might be a tough year for several teams. Tim Schaeffer didn't race with the Outlaws after hurting an engine. Points matter because he didn't race for 10K because he was saving his equipment for 5K and All Star points.

Gonna be awhile before I see another race, you PA guys enjoy an early season!
