All,
Everyone is getting their vintage schedule set for 2012 and I just wanted to make sure you kept May 19th open for a vintage oval racing car show and track time at Kennedale Speedway Park. It will be during thier Fanfest. The track is just south of Fort Worth. It's an excellent facility, track and staff. I will post more information as it gets finalized. I hope to see everyone there. We had a great time there last fall.

Looks like a good weekend to have one there. Just before the weather gets a bit hot.
I've talked to Ardmore and they have arms wide open for us this year too.
I get more on here when I can.

I've been quietly under the weather for the past month and it has been challenging to say the least. But things are getting better it seems. That's why I haven't been all over things and moving info like I should.

Looking for Midgets that want track time. Kennedale told me that we can have a Midget only set of hot laps for those who want them. I have one car so far and want a few more to make it a show.

South of of OkC looks to be very positive about your show too.
My friend Bill and I are working on hauling 3 cars between us to the show. We really do have a good plan in place now, just need to get the trailers wired for lights! LOL
I hear that George Jackson is very ready to try out his super from Wichita Falls as well.
Looks like several out of Wichita Falls wil be there That'll be great!
The fans at Kennedale treated us very well last year, great atmosphere there. I knew I wanted to go back to the next show shortly after I got there last September.

Looks like I will be at Kennedale for the first time. Motor fired this morning after switching it back to gas, if everything else is OK. See all you guys next Saturday!!!!!!

Fan Fest 2012 will
take place at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday, May 19th with fun for all to
enjoy. FREE ADMISSION for all who attend the festival that is designed to bring
race teams closer to the fans and to give something back to those who support
KSP. And to do so on a affordable budget for all who attend. FREE ADMISSION TO
FAN FEST for those who attend is about as affordable as it can get!!!
What is happening at FAN FEST
2012????
Fan Fest
2012
Saturday. 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Kennedale Speedway
Park.
LIVE CONCERT:
Austin
Allsup and his band will perform live. This band is very popular in Texas and
has recorded two very successful music CD's that have some excellent hits. This
band is sponsored and supported by 95.9 "The Ranch" FM radio station, one of the
Dallas / Ft Worth major radio broadcast stations.
Vintage race car displays:
Restored race
cars from back in the day will be displayed once again this year. NEW cars never
before seen at past shows will be at Fan Fest this year. Vintage race cars from
as far south as Houston and as far north as Oklahoma City are coming to display
their cars. Revive some old memories as everything from open wheel sprints, mods
and fender cars will be displayed. Some will be names you remember as
racers.
Free food and
drinks:
Hot diggitty dogs, it's FREE HOT DOGS for all who attend. And
free soft drinks to cool enjoy.
Meet and
greet the KSP racers:
Every single racer that has raced at KSP has
been invited to bring their race cars and display them and greet race fans. This
is NOT a race car show for KSP racers. Yes, you display the cars but your cars
do NOT have to be in show condition. Bring them as they are!!! This is a chance
for racers and fans to build a relationship. Meet those who drive the cars and
those who sit in the grandstands. It's a social opportunity.
Race team sponsorship help:
All racers that
attend the Fan Fest have already been asked ( And we ask again ) to bring their
sponsors advertising fliers, coupons or any other paper advertisings to the Fan
Fest. Fan Fest organizers will be collecting this information and will bag them
up for distribution to all in attendance at KSP that evening. This is your
chance as racers to promote those who support your racing.
WE SUGGEST:
Bring your lawn chairs or a
blanket to sit on. They fit nicely in the grandstands also!!!
Come to
Fan Fest 2012 with the expectation to have some family fun right at the track.

Wishing everyone a great Vintage Racing Day at the Fan Fest. Sounds like it will be a Great
Day of Fun for everyone. Wish I could be there as well, but we have our race to run
Saturday night as well. Dan and Brian, looking forward to the next gathering at Ardmore!
