Mark Tassler the track announcer at husets speedway said on his radio show that Terry McCarl is going to be at husets this weekend. I have heard confirmations from a few other sources also, anyone else heard about this?

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, but that still doesn't explain Tassler saying it on a local TV program and the Radio, who knows.

I'm just a little curious to know why it was okay for Hafertepe to race the night before an Outlaw race at US36 and it won't be okay for Terry to race the night after (when they don't race again until Thursday)? I'm guessing it falls under the mile restriction rule? Hopefully we get to see Terry tonight try to stop the Dobmeier Express.

They are Called Racers and that what they want to do.So if there is a race that is close let em race, it is there equipment and fuel not the Outlaws. That also makes it more fun for the fans when you get a OUTLAW or two come and compete with just the locals on a regular night.I don't really like McCarl but I hadn't planned on going to Husets until I heard he was going to be there.I guess I just want to see what he can do. Wreckers or Checkers!!!!

On a local message board it is being reported that Hot Rod reported on ADN (Racing Radio network) that Terry McCarl will be at husets tonight and possibly the next 2 sundays.

You can do it with permission from DIRT...I doubt if the Rubins would need to grant him permission...LOL
If this post isn't results, stories or something c

Just for discussion ... these 2 paragraphs appear in Section 9 of the 2007 WoO Rule Book:
b) Any World of Outlaws Platinum or Gold Member driver or car running a nonsanctioned 410 Winged Sprint Car event within a 48 hour period and a 250 mile radius of a sanctioned event will be deducted 250 points per infraction from the current point standings. Prior WoO written consent will not be unreasonably withheld.
c) If a World of Outlaws Platinum or Gold Member races a non-sanctioned 410 Winged Sprint Car race within 48-hours of a WoO event, the race must NOT be within 250 miles of the World of Outlaw event. The competitor’s name must not be included in any pre media or advertising. 250 point deduction.

Hefertepe Jr and Henderson both raced in unsanctioned 360 events on Friday night which is not prohibited by these rules.

Who says they'll let him race next Sunday? Knoxville is a
further tow to Sioux Falls from Eagle... Its pretty blatant the
Outlaws have it out for you Terry. Docking you 50 points even
though you proved them wrong and now this. Class operation they
have going on. With leadership (if you can call it that) like
this at the helm, its only a matter of time before we see another
split... Thanks DIRT!

HEY ALL NEWCOMERS!!!! This rule has been in effect with the WoO LONG before DIRT was even thought of, courtesy of Ted Johnson. It is not a new rule, just looks to be edited with the times.
So blame the founding fathers of the WoO, not DIRT (or world racing or whatever).

Any driver can race anywhere he pleases...but there are consequences. The World of Outlaws series has contracted drivers/teams in order for those drivers/teams to qualify for tow money and points. The WoO has rules to protect its investments. Why should it be OK for those drivers to race at a non-sanctioned race within a prescribed time or distance? The reasons for this rule are many and also obvious. Any driver who doesn't want to follow this can certainly give up his right to tow money and points and race whenever and wherever he pleases. I'm still waiting for the first driver to do that. I expect the wait to be a long one for the current crop of succesful WoO drivers.
I'm in total, 100% agreement with the rule for contracted drivers. It's a business decision and a proper one.

why would he care about the points?
he's outside the top 10 anyway...might as well run.
