A rundown of the 2011 awards banquet will be presented by “KWS Tonight” this Thursday evening on http://www.kwssprints.com at 7pm pst. It can also be viewed on the KWS Vimeo page at http://vimeo.com/user10076991

We’ll give a breakdown of the awards and money given out during the banquet that totaled in the ballpark of $300,000 in cash, contingencies and prizes. The top-20 drivers and teams in the King of the West Series standings were honored at the event and everybody walked away with something.

We will also recognize the many great companies and supporters that made the banquet possible.

Included in the show will be highlights from last July’s event at the Antioch Speedway. The main event featured a classic duel between Tim and Brent Kaeding, which ended with “TK” just winning out to pick up one of his six victories on the year with KWS.

At the end of the show we’ll also give some insight on a couple of things that occurred on Saturday, which aren’t seen very often at awards banquets, however, they certainly made it a night to remember!

The Golden State King of the West Sprints will open the 2012 season on Saturday night April 7 at the Antioch Speedway. The three-eighths mile oval is sure to provide some very exciting action to kick off the year. For the tentative schedule log onto
