Can't thank Dan Simpson, Gary Thomas and George Hague enough for a great season and for backing up everything they promised at the beginning of the season regarding the KWS series and more. The banquet was awesome, food and music great and a wonderful time was had by all.
The car was won by Danielle Simpson, the 410 S&SAutomotive Motor by Pat Harvey. All drivers drew a pill from the hopper upon arriving and those numbers were placed back in the hopper. At the conclusion of the evening all drivers were presented front and center on stage and Ryan Riley, KWS flagman, drew a pill from the hopper and one by one a driver was eliminated. Danille was the last woman standing and won the car. This was handled in the most professional way and she won it fair and square. She raced every race just like the 14 others, paid her dues and because she is Dan's daughter didn't mean she didn't deserve a chance to win like everyone else. She deserved it, she won it and there wasn't a single driver who didn't feel the same. Everyone was as happy for her as they would of been for any other driver.
Every driver in the top 15 walked away with a lot of money, 1st. Roth Motorsports $20,000 to 2nd. Suggs Racing $15,000 to $3250 for 14th. and $3000 for 15th. In addition these drivers and owners each received a very unique trophy, a custom made and painted, full scale die cast replica of their own car, 2 front and 1 right rear Goodyear tires and a contingency package worth $1000. 16th. through 20th. received plaques and 2 front Goodyear tires and a $1000 contingency package. Cases of oil, wearing apparel and a helmet were given away as well. Eli DeShaies took home a trophy and was speechless upon receiving the Most Improved Driver of the Year award. Bonzai Bruns took the trophy for Crew Chief of the Year for Roth Motorsports, Suggs Racing received $200 from JE Pistons and a unique etched piston trophy for Sportsman of the Year and Kenny Allen Rookie of the Year received $1000, ($500 from hoseheads.com and $500 from KWS) plus a custom picture of his car beautifully framed from Grants Fine Art and a trophy.
Again a big thank you to Dan Simpson for making all of this possible, everyone last night agreed we can't wait for the season to begin in April.
