I run Winters Birdcages and they are the best and easiest cages to service, in my opinion. I like the split races and bearing combination. It allows me to see the wear on the bearing and race very easily. I have run sealed bearings and the Winter combo seems to me to roll better. Also, the price point cant be beat. And they are made in PA.

"Made in PA". Ha. Some people are far too dumb to be a part of this board.

I used them for awhile, didn't have any problems with them, but I didn't like how the split surfaces seperated and allowed the birdcage to cock a little sideways when you pulled a wheel off due to pressure from the arms.Everything squeezes back together when you tightened the wheel back on good but it just always made me a little nervous that they might not slide back together as they should.

Winters makes good products. There is wing and non wing bird cages. I really do not know much about differences. Most of the known companys make good products with some are lighter than others, but that should not be a reason not to buy one. Also winters is in York, PA unless this other guy knows more than I do. Winters prices on all items are good. They are one of the oldest companies.

If it is in your budget and the piece is good there is no reason to be concerned with where it is made. We run allot of Winters parts and have yet to have one fail. Ran Winters on our Midgets as well and have never had a problem. Will continue to run Winters probably until we are done with the Sprint car.

Yes. Winters makes and sells good (if not great) products. Just not all are made in York, PA. Take the blinders off and do a little research.

I have to agree. I own and operate a small machine shop in Central pa. I have quoted several parts for Winters and Franklin over the last few years. After a few weeks I enqiured about said parts. Turns outs the parts I quoted for both companies where ordered from companies over seas. I sit hear and read all the crap about XXX. If people knew the real story about the parts they use, they might think twice.

I also read alot about rear axles breaking lately, I would be willing to bet that most if not all of that material came from forgien supplies.
