AJ Foyt just said he wished he was younger so he could race Stewart. Foyt said he could beat him, what a race that would be.

I'm sure he could beat him off and on! Could likely have been a hell of a rivalry! Guaranteed there would be a few fistacuffs between the two.. lol

They would probably have to race a sprint car or something else. I can't see Foyt putting up with all the lies and lunacy in NASCAR. Tony is certainly a gift. A second Foyt perhaps.

in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Remember, Foyt won the Daytona 500, as did Andretti... Knowing Foyt, he'd say he could beat him in any kind of contraption that had a steering wheel and a internal combustion engine, and he'd turn the wrenches too! LOL

I remember a few years ago Kevin Olson wrote a column in which he said he would love to see an IROC type midget race at Eldora featuring Foyt, Stewart, Hurtubise, Jeff Gordon, Sammy, Steve, Hinnershitz, Opperman, Andretti, etc......He said "I guarantee nobody would finish last in that race"...hahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah he does piss allot of people off, but unlike the Specialist drivers of today Foyt was able to back up his mouth in just about everything he drove!

I remember my dad and some other drivers of that era talking smack about Foyt as far back as the Champ Car races at the Phoenix fairgrounds in the late fifty's. The simple fact is Foyt wasn't liked until he got out of the seat of race cars, and that's still debatable..LOL

Foyt is forgetting his last years in NASCAR with his own team. The only word to describe it is... Pathetic. Beat Smoke in the taxicabs ? No way !

The best would be to see both in their prime, one race- midget, one race -sprint, and one race- champ dirt car.
The overall winner would get a top notch roadster ride at Indianapolis in front of a packed house!
