Track prep at the Silver Dollar Speedway includes rock removal, black
clay reclamation and a complete make over of the track surface ahead
of the winter rainy season.

Cool! I think one of the smaller versions of the rocks in that pile ricocheted off my head Thursday night of this year's "Gold Cup". Are they planning on doing anything to address the turn 4 fence? As in making it taller?

I think you need to ask Dennis about that. The turn 4 fence was taller after that dry red dirt was put down a couple of years ago but it was returned to the present configuration after that dirt was removed. All that dirt is now what is the Silver Dollar BMX track just outside the pit gate. I also recorded a statement by Dennis Gage that will be played at the Silver Dollar Speedway Awards Banquet on Nov. 19th. He talked about what to look for in 2012.
