Congrats Danny/Mark!

I am sincerely curious... What does the "Dude" think of Mark's Wolfweld chassis?

Is it different? Is it better? Does it have tight or loose tendencies? Any feedback?

Thanks!

Wouldn't a 410 be cheaper? Owners throwing this much at 360 racing is the biggest problem with 360 racing/ or am I wrong? At least this shows a ex outlaw driver can make up for Parker H.P. on that track.

Wow, Brett. That was only about 3-4 attempts to completely veer off-topic and start a keyboard commando skirmish. HANNITY: Great post. In the day of cookie cutter cars where everything looks like a Maxim... I'd love to know as well. The comments I read from drivers aim at the shocks as much as anything when feel is concerned. You'd think chassis would have a big difference. "Wednesdays with Wayne"... good source. Wayne has wheeled a bunch of different chassis over the years and would be another good source. I know Gary Wright struggled a lot with the 01 J&J earlier this year.

I was once told by a great car owner that the chassis is just a bunch of bent and welded metal, they are all the same. The key is what you attach to that bent metal....shocks, good tires, good powerplant, driver.

And tires are just black rubber with two holes in it what difference could there be from one to the other. Or Motors there all chevys what difference does that make. Tell your Car owner there is a reason he is just a car owner and stick to writing checks.

Good job Dude and Mark now on to STN .

Ok, I'll play.

  • Thanks for all of the well wishes. It was a big win that's for sure.
  • Hannity. Danny has not had any complaints about the chassis. When he drove for me last year at the Master's Classic he really like how it handled. The chassis is really the foundation of which everything else is applied to. We have had the exact same chassis configuration for the last five or six years. I would be lost in anything else but my Wolfweld cars. Doug is an incredible craftsman and plus he taught me how to be a racer. He is always helping me. The car that won at Grain Valley is the same car that won at Belleville ('10 and 11) and now Devil's Bowl. I think we have a lot of versatility built into what we can do with a very generic baseline. Heavy tracks are great. Slick tracks make me salivate!
  • Brettco: I don't know if you are directing that statement just at me or at the entire 360 class. I am happy to share some insight though. There were times this weekend that I felt like I was Bobby Allen racing back in the day. I would bet you an All Star Special at the Waffle House that 75% of teams at The Devil's Bowl had more money in their Trucks, Trailers, Cars and Motors than I do. There is absolutely no way that I can build a 410 cheaper than a 360. I have a -12 headed engine that I am building and even with used parts, sponsors and deals it will cost me as much to build as one of my 360s. I was hoping it wouldn't but it will. I saw a used trailer for sale down there for $104,100. Incredible!
  • Having an Ex-Outlaw driver, or as I like to call him - a Hall of Fame driver is certainly an advantage in the Experience department. However- running a 410 and a 360 are completely different. And the communication that it takes to get the car to react the way the driver wants it to feel and do the things he wants is the difficult part.

Can you help me pick out any other ex-Outlaw drivers in the feature?????

1. 1m-Danny Lasoski, 2. 15h-Sam Hafertepe, Jr., 3. 41-Jason Johnson, 4. 99-Brady Bacon, 5. 57-Shane Stewart, 6. 21-Brian Brown, 7. 53-Jack Dover, 8. 97-Terry McCarl, 9. 9-Gary Wright, 10. 36-Robert Sellers, 11. 88-Tim Crawley, 12. 81-Danny Wood, 13. 29-Travis Rilat, 14. 77x-Wayne Johnson, 15. 45x-Johnny Herrera, 16. 1j-Danny Jennings, 17. 23-Seth Bergman, 18. 5-Koby Barksdale, 19. 18-Tony Bruce, Jr., 20. 11c-Matt Covington, 21. 7m-Kevin Ramey, 22. 2d-Bryan Dobesh, 23. 45-Martin Edwards, 24. 28-Jeff Swindell.

Okay. Back to work. Have fun!!!!

Rome wasn't built in a day......but they sure didn't

I would agree to the extent that you can normally find a way to make a chassis fast. However, ask Sammy how he liked that bent metal with the name Jenkins on it. Some chassis you have to have perfect conditions and a perfect setup to make work. Maybe today they're pretty much all the same?

Not all engines are build by the same builder. Engines builder have tricks or the people who own the engines may run trick stuff. There was a funny joke going around whenever karl kinser and his driver would win a race that karl was trying new stuff or was doing r & d work.

Thank you for making my point about keeping car owners to just writing checks. With the 20k that barely pays for the stuff Haud tore up for Roth earlier this year. He should keep Paulie and TK and ditch the idea haud is going to do anything good. At most if he needs a tax right off with tore up stuff then Haud is your guy.

It was also you who said Roth wouldnt hire Haud again and he burned a bridge, which makes you wrong once again. Even more wrong if Roth decides to put Haud in full time. Now we all know you are a fraud who doesnt know what he/she is talking about. Thanks for making my point.

I think I have a very good educated guess as to the owner/driver you would be referring too. If it is who I am thinking about he has quite the resume and it sounds like something he would say. Smile
