Stevie Sussex takes Another Win at Arizona Speedway!
Twenty two cars made the field at the first Wild West Sprint Car Race of the fall season at E.T. Motopark’s Arizona Speedway last Saturday night. The stands were full, the weather great, and all was well at the Apache Junction facility. With the track in the best shape yet this year, the fans saw some good close open wheel racing. Mike Martin made his first appearance at Arizona Speedway coming from the third spot to win the first heat race followed by Shon Deskins and Josh Pelkey. Heat two would see Stevie Sussex come from the back of the pack to win followed by John Sheldon and RJ Johnson. Heat three was topped by the 7 car driven by Jesse Stonecipher with his first showing in a non wing sprinter.
The stage was now set for the Main Event. With Nathan High leading the twenty two car field to the green flag followed by Mike Martin, Josh Pelkey, the crowd was privileged to see some close and fast racing. Stevie Sussex would take the win starting from the 6th position, followed by Nathan High, Mike Martin, and Josh Pelkey. Bob Ream put on a great show, working himself up from the 15th spot to complete the top five.
