Notes: 15-year-old Trey Stark's second place finish came by passing Tommy a car length or two before the wire, much as Peter Murphy had done to Ryan Bernal in the preceding non-wing main... The track ran dry most of the night; gray "paving" everywhere... Jac's big return began to come apart when his car didn't make weight after qualifying, and he had to start at the back of everything... Kyle Hirst brought Dan Simpson's Ron Shaver / Donnie Schatz / Chevrolet Corvette LS - powered #4 home first in the third heat. The announcers called it a "twenty-thousand-dollar motor," which it isn't quite, though it's way cheaper than the Donovan-based motors Ron builds for so many cars... The Hirst / Simpson car disappeared during the main; I don't recall why... Tim Kaeding was also gone early with what was said to be a "seized engine"... Starks led through lap 17 in the feature, followed by Tommy T, through lap 25, with Allard all over them both most of the way... The stands were far from full, but probably near 80 percent... Danielle Simpson showed her "horsepower" versatility by driving a team of six draught horses pulling a cart full of WSC drivers about and putting the horses through some 360s on the front straight... Notably absent: Mike Faria.
