I always feel welcome at Gas City, like they enjoy having you come there for a visit. Its always fun to sit in the top row and get hit by flying clay. That seldom happens elsewhere.

I used to ooo and ahhh over Haubstadt, but I've also seen average races there, hence its not my fave by any means. Kokomo has killer races, perhaps the best in the country weekly, but its not my fave place either.

The dinky track in Belleville, Illinois is still my fave track. Best place to watch outdoor midget racing. The week before the Gold Crown they had 45 midgets for the POWRi Finale.....

Kevin, Another good column--thanks for your continuing efforts. It's great having your weekly thoughts and reporting. I was surprised there was no mention of the passing of Al Davis. As you know you can't spell Raiders without a d. "Just Win Baby".
