The stock car car counts haven't been that great and they run TQ midgets and California Lightning sprints all the time there. There are several of us with USAC 360 cars from the Bakersfield area who would like to run some races closer to home. We had three races there last year, but none this year.

Matt if you want races at bako maybe you should support the whole series and run the sms races to

Ventura needs to schedule a USAC CRA show! Bring back the Wagsdash to Ventura.
|
That would be great. Lots screaming, always, about not qualifying at Ventura. Drama then solidly sets in. Some of the same guys that bitch about not qualifing want the race to go on again. Just saying, so don't shoot me.

it would be great to see this series open up how many tracks we visit for a few reasons.
1.get our series more exposure to a wider fan base by going to different markets.
2.posssibly get more cars involved when they come to compete with us at thier home track.
3.give more credit to our series champion by showing it was done on every type and shape track.
now for the tracks we think of running.
1.santa maria
2.hanford
3.tulare
4.oildale maybe once to see if they will put in a track other than dry bone slick.
5.ocean speedway
6.chowchilla
7.merced
8.calistoga maybe in conjunction with western classic series.
food for thought and trust me nobody knows the tow times better than me since im based in the sacramento area.

How about a couple trips to Victorville Raceway Park? Maybe, a date at Perris with the 410s or without as the purse may be an issue. If Ventura goes to the ASCS Medium Tire, maybe Naylor would be interested in a "VRA vs. USAC" race.
Just a few thoughts.
|
How about a compromise ?
If Ventura adopts the ASCS Med Tire , Ventura , USAC 360 , ASCS Az will all be on the same tire
If Ventura will allow the ASCS head to run with out the gasket & USAC 360 & ASCS Az will allow the ASCS gasket Engines in with no restrictor , most current 360's can run competitively as is
Now you can put the Grand Slam back together even include a couple Az Shows or if tracks do not sked on top of each other as much as possible it gives the racers more of a chance to run different tracks
More cars at each track can lead to
Better Racing

Derp, I was just asking if we could have some races in Bakersfield. I don't follow the points or make the Santa Maria races because we are a family owned team with a small budget and it's not economically feasable to race there. Feel free to chip in anytime, or mind your own business and we will run our operation the best we can!

Roy, Roy, Roy,
You're not here to come up with viable solutions. It just makes everyone uncomfortable. While posting please confine yourself to the generally accepted practice of pissing and moaning. Thank you.

we need more 410 shows that dont overlap the 360 shows . and again bakersfield is an hour closer than Santa Maria and tulare and an hour and a half closer to hanford . but ill go anywhere chris you just get um scheduled.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I was about half way through it when I started squirming in my seat, it just seemed, I don't know, to reasonable?

if it werent for different tire compounds, i would suggest a sort of civil war series, north *usac wcrs* vs. south *usac western 360s*. maybe 5 races at 2 usac western 360 tracks *hanford and santa maria, 1 neutral *chowchilla* and 2 north *watsonville and placerville*. just food for thought.
