If any adding of USAC/360`S is to be considereed, how about the alleged home track, Santa Maria. Only six races were schedduled and one was lost to rain.

How about a couple trips to Victorville Raceway Park? Maybe, a date at Perris with the 410s or without as the purse may be an issue. If Ventura goes to the ASCS Medium Tire, maybe Naylor would be interested in a "VRA vs. USAC" race.
Just a few thoughts.

How about USAC/CRA, USAC 360 and VRA not scheduling against each other... (all the time)

Id like to see a show at Bako too but the track prep and promoter dont really seem that keen on sprints.

I only want to run them more than once a month at Santa Maria. Heck even trying to keep it kind of special, my crowds were not that stellar. Im afraid if i run them more, it would just get worse. I am considering a 2 day special event and/or possibly a USAC/ASCS head to head deal.

Chris, while you are considering a two day show, why not hook up with the local Chamber of Commerce. Many hotels and restaurants benefit when a bunch of sports fans come to the area. In your area you also have some neat places to visit during the day including the beach at Pismo or the many wineries in the area. Perhaps some of them will come on board and help sponsor some laps. A case of the local wine to the winner of the main event would be a nice touch. Or have each winery donate a bottle to create a case. Even though the Firestone family has gotten themselves out of the tire business, you might convince them to donate to the cause. The old timers will remember siping the Firestone tires on their sprint cars.

chris already said hes not gonna over lap the schedules next year so i cant wait to go to all the 360 and 410 shows at different tracks . seeing as alot of the 360 guys also have 410s and will keep car counts up everywhere .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Its pretty difficult not to overlap schedules when someone is running three shows a month.

They had a ASCS So Cal region winged race scheduled there this year, but it got cancelled. I believe it was around memorial day weekend. Promoters are quick to cancel when they dont sense the front gate will be enough to cover the purse. Tough business to be in righ now, especially in an area is is not known for sprint car racing.

Bakersfield would be great hour and a half closer than hanford hour closer than santa maria and tulare . go fishing at the kern river then come down the hill and watch sprint cars that would make a great day.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

If "they" is refering to Santa Maria, the race was not cancelled. ASCA only showed up with four cars and they ran a abbreviated show. I had a friend show up and when he heard only four cars he went home before any thing started. Obvioulsly, Chris and the fans who showed up were not pleased with the feature being ruined. Subsequent to that the ASCA was cancelled at Bakersfield I believe.

The stock car car counts haven't been that great and they run TQ midgets and California Lightning sprints all the time there. There are several of us with USAC 360 cars from the Bakersfield area who would like to run some races closer to home. We had three races there last year, but none this year.

Bakersfield canceled the scheduled USAC 360 races.
I loved going to Bakersfield for the grandslam races and would likely make several sprint shows there a year if the track got prepped.
