I'd put up $5,000 to the winner of the USAC WC 360 if the Cotton Classic were a points race. Just an idea.

Nope. But what is your motive?

think that 5000 dollars would be more than usac pays for the championship ? not sure though.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Changing the points schedule one week after the points season is over isn't really practical. Though I too wonder why this is not a points race. How about this...Why not commit your 5 grand for the 2012 finale now? You and Chris can announce it at the Cotton. That would have a much larger and positive impact for the series and (I'm guessing your company) in the long run.

I think it's great you want to support the series, but changing the game after the fact won't help the the series in the big picture, regardless of the amount of coin.

Geez, I had fun.

I would be more than happy to make it a points race for next year, if you want to commit the $5,000 now for 2012. To answer the question about why its not a points race: I honestly dont remember. Something Woodhouse and I decided and I dont remember why! Probably should be next year.

This years event is $1500 to win. But I would love to make it a big year-end event and the points finale.
