I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the 8th annual Pete Swarmer Memorial Race at Port Royal Speedway scheduled for this Saturday night. A special thank you goes out to the Beer Hill Gang for their generous contribution. Also thanks to Doc and Debi Crawford and to Eagle Towing and Recovery of Milesburg PA. Thanks also to MSPN who donated photos that were auctioned or sold to raise money. Mike has always graciously donated to this event. As of the present time the sprint car heats will pay $100 to win, $60 for second, and $40 for third. Additional contributions received would make the payoff higher of course. The Swarmer family will also donate $100 to the hard charger in Saturday nights sprint car feature. Trophies will be presented to the winning drivers in the sprint car and late model features. Trophies will be presented by representatives of Hooters of State College. Heat race money has also been secured for the late model division.

One of my favorite causes for one of the most amazing people in sprint car history. Pete, please spend five minutes telling the rest of the Hosers about your Father and just how special it was what he accomplished under the circumstances. Take It Easy.....
