HONOR FLIGHT will experience a history making event the first week in October, 2011. We are sending two (2) HONOR FLIGHTS, back to back, so our Kansas World War II veterans can visit their World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., built in their honor. That’s over two hundred World War II veterans! The cost to send a World War II veteran on HONOR FLIGHT is $650.00. All expenses are paid by do...nations from a grateful public.
In their honor, Wichita will host a banquet for each of the two flights.

HONOR FLIGHT #16 will have a SEND OFF BANQUET, Monday evening October 3, 2011 at the Central Community Church, 6100 W. Maple, Wichita, KS. It is open to the public. Doors open at 5:00pm. Food tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for 12 and under. There will be HONOR FLIGHT hats, t-shirts and assorted items for sale. All profits go to send World War II veterans on HONOR FLIGHT.
HONOR FLIGHT #16 will start boarding their airplane at Mid-Continent Airport, 4:30am, Tuesday October 4, 2011 for a 7:00am departure.
HONOR FLIGHT #16 will return to Wichita Mid-Continent Airport Wednesday evening, October 5, 2011 at 6:27pm. We encourage all of Wichita to come out and join this great demonstration of appreciation and HEROES WELCOME HOME.
