i was wondering if some of the teams associated with sprint invaders and 34 raceway 305 sprints could answer some questions.since 34 raceway began running 305 sprints weekly i was wondering if this has hurt sprint invaders car count and how many drivers would be out of racing had 34 raceway not started running 305's weekly?

I can not speak too intelligently on this subject completely as we just began running a 305 with 34 raceway 3 years ago. But I do know that there have been several tracks were 305's have started to run with the Invaders. I for one would hope that the 305 gig at Burlington has helped to build interest in the Invader club and that their car counts will begin to grow as folks move up into the faster divisions. I know that this is our goal, now whether or not that is going to happen may be a whole other issue, only time will tell. I am aware however of at least three teams that would like to compete with the Invaders from the 305 ranks.

If the Invaders would pay a respectable purse they would get the cars they yearn for.

The first thing they should do is to be totally transparent and post their purse online on the website. They have a rules PDF on their website that clearly states the membership fees and fines, but fails to mention anything regarding the purse.

Bump the purse up to draw in outsider teams and they will have a decent car count. A quick look at the points shows seven cars that hit all of the shows this year, and 29 total competitors for nine races. This shows that 22 non-regular cars combined to hit nine shows. Kind of pathetic if you ask me.

With a low purse and almost no points fund, this is going to continue to be a local racing organization. Which is fine for those who participate and are able to make due with the expenses, but if the organization wants to thrive, there needs to be an influx of cash in some way or another.

There were 41 cars for the finale. The purse has been promoted and posted several times this year, including all year long on the Sprint Invaders website (still there, just scroll down). It was raised in 2011 and is higher than most area 360 shows...

Bill,

I was going by the points, which are supposedly final but only show 29 cars as scoring this year.

I see the purse is available on the website, my apologies for not noticing it. Figured it would be posted in the rulebook PDF.

When we define area 360 shows, what are we comparing to? I like that the Invaders buoyed up the back end of the purse but I think they could get a very solid following if they upped it even more, and also had more shows. I know money doesn't come out of thin air but the investment would serve them well if you ask me.

Knoxville weekly 360's would be one purse it beats...

the econamy and the big cost of 360 motors is the reason you see 360 car count down some..Problem is people are now starting to spend big bucks on 305 motors, To pay $20'OOO to 25,000 for a 305motor is crazy. Some one find a solution. It would be nice if each club had a seminar on how to build your own 305

The Invaders purse is better then most including Knoxville.

I think the Invaders did the correct thing by adding the money to the bottom end of the purse.

This will ensure that "the little guy" can make it to the next race.

You only show 29 cars because teams that only buy temporary passes are not scored points.

( Tony Stewart, Roger Crockett, Jerrod Hull, and Randy Martin just to name a few.)

Any time you want to invest in the Invaders give them a call!
