Well since I was at work and couldn't watch...what was this all about? Were these the "stock cars" that they run over there?

They were the crazy looking old-stock-super looking things with really weird wings. Fun to watch for a diversion. Reminds me of the New Zealand/Aussie speedway cars that run in teams like roller derby - only these were individuals ... and were actually racing despite the crash-fest nature of it -- with only a few cautions thrown. Something like that would likely do well here in the states ...
