Many fans I have bench raced with agree that the Trophy Cup is the most exciting race of the year. Putting the fast guys up front too many times results in action up front, but hohum racing in the peleton. I imagine many drivers will object to full inversion, but racing is entertainment, not a money pit for hot shoes. Most complaints about the Outlaws is that it turns into a follow the leader show on a dry slick track, thus ensuring the big bucks for the high dollar teams. I know NASCAR makes a show of quialifying and who gets the pole, but this is mostly a way to increase TV coverage. Recently I watched an Indy race where Will Power started on the pole and led the whole race. Where's the thrill in that? Sure there was some coverage of dices going on in back, but the battle for the lead is always the show. For example I was told that that fight for the lead between Kyle Larson and Sweet Brad at Chico was the best show of theyear, even tho Greg Decaires won the race.

Some old-timers, older than me, tell me that back in the day full inversion was the standard at many tracks. Trophy Cup can't come soon enough at Tulare, Steve Farias best track on the Left coast
