Eagle Raceway's signature event, the Nebraska Cup-a 9/11 Tribute, presented by the Nebraska Lottery will be held next Sunday.
With Sunday being the last night of a 3 race weekend beginning Friday at Grain Valley, Missouri for $2500 to win, followed by Saturday night at Junction Motor Speedway outside of York, Nebraska paying a top prize of $3000, there will be plenty of the biggest names in 360 sprints racing on the high banks of "America's Home Track".
Throw in a $3000 3-day points fund for those who compete in all of the races, over $2200 in lap money for Sunday's sprint A Feature and the $5000 winner's share of the purse, and you can see that Sunday's finale to Eagle's season will be a race that you won't want to miss. There will be numerous contingency prizes for the racers including the inaugural Lloyd Beckman Hard Charger award, free hotel rooms and many many more.
The pits will be open to the fans from 3 until 4:30 for autographs, pictures and to talk with their favorite drivers. Front gates open at 4:30 with hot laps at 5:30, the invocation and National Anthem at 6:25 and racing at 6:30. Front gate admission is just $15, youths 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free.
At intermission the 2011 Miss Nebraska Cup will be crowned, and there will be plenty of giveaways for the fans throughout the evening. A trip to Las Vegas will be awarded to one lucky person in the stands!!
Pit gates open at 2, and pit passes are $25. We will also be holding a luncheon for the drivers in the pavillion from 2 until 3.
Hope to see a huge crowd at Eagle Raceway next Sunday!!
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.
