The newspaper shows that over 38,000 were in attendence. I guess the hurricane chased away the season seat holders. Hmm, I doubt that the way that the Marlins have been playing of late that they anywheres near that many season seat holders. The Marlins must be using the same auditing firm that the city of Bell used.

Get rid of some of those lower seats and you might
just be able to fit a nice little dirt track in there.

38,000 is what the place holds, not the attendence.
"...Sun Life holds 38,560 fans for baseball."
By yesterday all forcasts were for "Irene" to miss Florida

they fit monster truck and moto cross tracks in there why not a nice lil driver working banked track ?
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Looks to me like, once again, the make-up department worked overtime making spectators look like empty seats -- sort of like some of the grandstands at NASCAR races.

This was the game that was supposed to be played today. Thursday. With little notice they announced the game would be played Wednesday morning before the scheduled Wednesday game. One reporter tweeted that the crowd of around 250 for the National Anthem had swelled to over 300 by the first pitch.
