Maybe Mr. Jennings would be kind enough to come on
here and explain if there was some sort of policy violation.

It feels wrong, like maybe we've lost something we thought we always had here.

A couple of bad apples ruined it for everyone. Enough was enough and everything had to go.

I really liked the part about sharing profits between the track and the racers, it reminded me of what SCRA originally stood for.
Edit... and also the real CRA for that matter. I believe they had a 60-40 split between track and racers

Started getting a bit like Dodger Stadium or Candlestick Park. Glad we have good security here.

these threads can be what ever someone wants them to be.its what you do now that makes a difference , its going to take some work to make vrp work for everyone. the more people that get involved the better . sometimes the answers can come from the craziest of places. we cant afford to lose another track in so-cal !!! now i know no one has said we are losing vv, thats not the point , the point is it can happen eventually . we as fans and racers need to do anything and everything in our power possible to bring the vv track to life. it might be chocking on its owne dust , lol , i didnt say that... . i do know that when there is a will , there is a way !! and when there are many wills , well alot is possible...

Unless something has changed, I think the promoters there would like to stay in business and plan to reopen, but the landlord (county farm & agricultural bureau) filed for bankruptcy. They do not want anybody getting hurt on the property while things go through bankruptcy. I could be wrong, but that is the story I got a couple weeks back from a few people close to the situation.

That's exactly right Scott, the track has been closed for reasons beyond their control. They are working on it, but it looks like it will be closed for rest of the year. The horse track has been on the edge for some time, but the two AMA National flat track races they had on the one mile last year were a huge success, with sellouts for both events.
The Challenge Cup (limited Sprints) have found a new home at Canyon for now, and they had their first race there last weekend.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

we need to wake up if we wanna watch sprints , ocean speedway may be closing if home owners close to the track have there way , KWS cancelled races this year ,Tulare cancelled almost there whole season alot of ASCS southern calif races , our 410 series has gotten shorter at our beloved perris and were giving steve our wishes to make VV work . i hope this is just the economy and not a loss of interest in sprint car racing . i hope to see more races at the PAS next season atleast 1 every week .

The problem here is the word variety. There is to much of it in Southern California.

Do you go to the stockcar races there?
I see 25 events scheduled but assume youre only attending the 11 Sprint car nights on the schedule.
Why would Don K go back to the old model of more races when he wasnt getting car count or fan support?
This season, the reduced schedule has had good car counts, decent fan attendance. It looks like it is working exactly right for the economy the way it is. I would love to see more races there as well but, he would be mad to change whats working for everyone right now.
If VVille or the other tracks the series runs at would pick up one event a month then you would have plenty of 410 racing to go to. I speculate that 2 races a month with one being at the PAS and one "away" would be a feasible schedule for CRA drivers / car owners and car count would remain good.
