URSS is doing ONE GREAT THING from what I hear , they TECH the motors and make sure that racers are following the rules and do not let the rules change and get out of hand.

That car in the Pic is from the 70's and is of Freddie Streets Super Modified from Wichita Falls,Tx. , I remember seeing it race on Sat. nights when I was a kid and it was very pretty then and the pic really does not do it justice, his cars were kind of like Fred Hembree's cars from Ks. cars were, very cool looking, Freddie changed numbers to #24 later on but still had some nice looking race cars at Lawton Speedway for sure, I think he had Armies Body Shop there in Wichita Falls,Tx. sponsor him back then , prolly why he got the killer paint jobs, then a little later on in the 80's he drove for JW Boren #55 before he quit racing.

What do you mean the photo really doesn't do it justice? It is sweet looking and the perfect era.

And of course Rick Salem is the leader of the URSS. A former supermodified racer until he ran his Jelly 100"er against the sprint cars (got the sprint car bug) in the Denver area and we never seen him again. LOL

Warren, just think the car was much more colorful in person than the pic shows that is what I mean when I say the photo does not do it justice.

Welder is that a portable propane bottle the Blue 9 car is hauling , does it run off of Propane???.
