JACKSON, MINN – After an action-filled preliminary night of racing with the
American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) sprint cars on Friday night that saw Johnny
Hererra take the checkered flags in the 360 sprint class and Bill Boles earn the
checkers in the 305 class, the 33rd Annual Jackson Nationals Sprint Car
Championship was decided on Saturday night, August 20. With the pits welcoming
18 of the KICD 305 Sprints and 39 360 winged sprints competing under the ASCS
banner, near-perfect conditions greeted the fans and racers for the championship
night. The racing provided plenty of excitement for the fans all evening long.
In the KICD 305 Sprint feature, Billy Boles took the lead on the second lap and
held off challenges from Alan Ambers of Knoxville, IA and Austin Johnson of
Shakopee, MN through the white flag lap but a late pass going into turn three by
Ambers of Knoxville, IA would give Ambers the checkers. For the 360 ASCS A
Feature, Jason Johnson took the lead on the drop of the green from his outside
front row starting position and led every lap to earn the $6,000 winners check
for the 33rd Jackson Nationals. Next week will be the Big Bike Giveaway for the
younger fans as all six divisions of cars return to the historic half-mile at
the Jackson Speedway. For more details, go to: www.jacksonspeedway.com

Congrats to Alan and the entire 93a crew. Alan, crew chief Keaton Nunnikohven, and car owner Shaun Goodno are a combo that will have to be considered to be one of the top 305 teams in the Midwest the rest of this year and next season. This 2nd year team is improving every time out. They have 2 wins this year and are on the hunt for more. Congrats again for a great run on Friday and Saturday at Jackson!

Nice write up you are appearing to take credit for, Unfortunately, I wrote the article, along with the heat race and feature results and posted the same on another forum/message board late last evening in my capacity as the media relations director at Jackson Speedway. The same article has been posted on the Minnesota Dirt Track Forum of Hoseheads - and was also sent to Hoseheads.

I'm honored you thought enough of my recap to re-post it, but don't try and claim authorship. That's called plagarism.

Not that it matters, but I must be missing where any credit is trying to be taken.

I'm with SprintFan 16 on this one. Where exactly was he taking credit for this article? Kinda sounds like he thought you had written a pretty good article and wanted to share it with everyone else. After a reply like that, I certainly wouldn't help spread your word anymore.

Thank God God's not that uptight! He'd be pretty pissed every Sunday morning!

If youre so proud of your press releases, then maybe you should post them with your name and credentials instead of your internet alias.

Dan, you have nothing to apologise for. He very seldom puts more than 2 sentences in his "reports" on the 305's. They are treated like 2nd class citizens at Jackson. That Nationals 305 features was one of the best races of the weekend! Congrats to the 93a team!

Well put, I get the impression that some of the people at Jackson really dont think they can do wrong, but the truth is they quite often make mistakes and usually make an ass out of themselves when doing it. This is evident in the way the track is prepped weekly, and some of the calls coming down from the officiating booth. Not to further derail the thread, great job to the 93A
