The change my dad and I are worried about with a new promoter is the seating. My dad sat and move up in the same seat for over 30 years. Then they had teh season pass crap. He hated the idea (rightfully because the first year they had it was the floods of '93 and many people lost money due to a season pass) However, Nationals is not considered in the season pass. So, he and now I been able to sit in the same seats for like 40 year, for nationals. Will the new promoter piss the hell out of thousands of people by kicking people from their Nationals seats and giving them to the season holder?

i would highlt doubt, but its a possiblity that they would get first priority for those seats if they chose to, i dont think they would include it into the season pass just give first priority

The regular shows are all general admin and the 2011 season pass excludes Nats. I don't think they would ever combine Nats and the season pass.

Speaking of seating...I vote that if your ass takes up 2 seats, then you should have to buy two seats. Nothing ruins your nationals week like being wedged in between 2 hefty heffers all week. Worst part is they don't even try to make room for you when you show up!

Why would they give up getting all that ticket money in November for a race that does not happen till August?
Not going to happen.

I have also had that issue as we usually tailgate and come into the races late. The trick we learned is to put down a blanket when the gates open to save our reserved seats. That way, when we come in track later in the night, our seats are there.

Time to bring out the "Ass-O-Meter" again!! Instead of a height chart to ride rides, they need an Ass-O-Meter at the gate to check ass size, if you are over you pay for two seats!!

it wasn't a threat. a couple words into I said we were worried. Worried is not a threating word. and saying thousands of people around the US would be pissed about losing their family vacation seats would be pissed. It was just something the people in our section were talking about.

That is why on te other thread I asked if you liked Ed Lynch Jr a few days ago. You argue with me like crazy on here but we use to agree on almost everything when we debated in Sunday school. Sometimes I think you just ask questions to ask questions.
Edit* I brought up many of your points from Adult Sunday school in my 'Bible as Lit.' class.

THIS!!!
I can't say much about the width deal, though. As an example, every time I get tix for eldora I have to buy atleast one extra ticket for the family. We aren't really fat people but, there's definately not enough room. I'm a little wide at the shoulders but, that's genetics and has nothing to do with my gut. I've dropped 40 pounds the last couple of years but, the seats are just as narrow as ever.
I've never been to kville but, if it's anything like the tracks here in Ohio they try to squeeze as many people in as possible without considering how uncomfortable it makes everyone.

At knox there is plenty of room per seat, its just that most of the time half your seat is taken!

Have you ever heard of a little race called the Chili Bowl? May ticket buying for a January race. By buying your tickets at that time you get your old seats back. Problems solved.
By the way - I have put blankets down only to return to the stands and find my blankets on the ground (not at Knoxville). I always use tape or bungee cords to hold the blankets in place, too. I guess I got someone's regular seats.
I don't know how to hightlight the copy and paste in yellow
