As a member of this "untapped" auto racing community, I feel as though I have failed to let everyone know that the American Le Mans Series was on tonight, Sunday night, on ESPN2 from 9pm until 11pm. How are we ever going to get auto racing back in this city if we can't get the word out on such spectacular televised events such as this. Again, that was, tonight, ( a sunday night ) on ESPN2 in the prime slot of 9pm until 11pm. I was able to tune in for just a bit with my kids. We weren't able to understand what class of cars they were, nor how to pronounce the drivers names, but I was really trying to get them involved in what could be our new auto racing passion in OKC. They ( my kids ) did mention however, that they would rather go to school year round than watch this "crap". So I guess I could thank Le Mans for the motivation to learn.
I can't wait until the smart people that "think" they run this community get this event scheduled so I can possibly purchase a week long pass for the whole family. Come on guys, I can only row a boat so much and pedal my trendy bike while wearing my Lance Armstrong outfit for so long before I get sore. I NEED to be able to watch import cars run through the city streets. Get your stuff together!!!!
