Jackson County Fair Races Provide Plenty of Action The 143^rd edition of the Jackson County Fair hosted the traditional Saturday night ofracing at the historic Jackson Speedway for the six classes of cars. The evening’s races werepart of Hall of Fame Night at the speedway, and were co-sponsored by Tri-County Implement andBank Midwest of Jackson. A field of 73 cars turned out to compete in the fair racing event. Feature winners were Aaron Betz in the Sport Compacts, Drew Bargloff in the Hobby Stocks, Kyle Steuber in the Sport Modifieds, Bill Boles in the 305 Sprints, Jim Larson in the Stock Cars and Lou Kennedy Jr., earned the win in the 360 Sprint feature. The Speedway will be silent next Saturday, August 13, as racing action takes a night off for the Knoxville Nationals. Action will resume on Friday night, August 19 for the Sprint car portion of the Jackson Nationals, featuring the ASCS National Touring Series on Friday night and the championship night of sprint cars for the Nationals on Saturday, August 20.
