Danielle Ossenfort – Knowledge is Power

NEWTON (August 4, 2011) – A couple of weeks ago, Danielle was able to make it back home one more time, so she and the Ossenfort Racing team headed back to their hometown track of Black Hills Speedway for the July 23rd event. "I always love coming home, especially on race weekends," said Danielle.

Unfortunately after some time away from the track and behind the wheel, it took a bit for the Knology #10D to warm up. "I'm not sure why but I just couldn't get myself in the zone." Danielle had to say. That being said, Danielle had a little trouble with hot laps and even her heat. "I just wasn't where I should have been," she said. Although the heat race wasn't what she had hoped for the #10D still started in sixth place for the A-Main event.

Danielle started third row outside for the main and was running much better with the track changes, before a red flag put a halt to the race. "The track was really dry slick, and that is my favorite kind of track! There was a red flag and I was able to talk to my dad and my uncle, who suggested that I move my wing back and to look at running the top line, because that's where everyone else was." Danielle said. "But once I got my wing moved back and my car tightened up, I started running even better on the bottom and I was able to get by a couple more cars." The Knology #10D finished the night with a well-deserved sixth place finish. "Although sixth is where I started, I was really proud of this finish. The night started a little rough, but I think by the end of it, I started to turn it around." Danielle had to say.

It's a learning experience every time she hits that track and you can never have too much. You can bet she'll be back at it soon! Stay up to day on Danielle's schedule by checking out www.ossenfortracing.com

Vortex Racing Products
Vortex Racing Products is the industry leader in Sprintcar Wing design. From humble beginnings in 1995 where we began producing wings for our own use we quickly became engaged in producing wings for other race teams. Inspired by a life-long background in racecar design and manufacturing from our Dad, we (Paul and Lynton) continued to evolve into a company known for producing a product a little different from the rest. This ability to manufacture a Wing that is unique in design is what has been our success. With the use of our own race teams in Australia and America, we continually push the boundaries of design with an extensive testing program of our products each and every year. It is with our understanding of chassis design and manufacturing that we are able to communicate with our clients and tailor a wing package that best suits their driver, team and make of chassis. We call this," The Vortex Advantage". http://www.vortexracingproducts.com.au/
