Does anyone know if any campgrounds in the area have any vacancy left for the nationals. I prefer the Kville rv campgrounds that are bout .75 mile north of track. Second choice would be Vandonslers, and then the state park that we stayed at last year. Im gonna do some calling tomorrow, was just trying to get a feel for vacancy before I called. TIA

Try the bowling alley just north of the track. Was not full last year. Great people running that. My buddy has camped there since the 90's. Has electric & water.

L & J Automotive was posting recently about still having spots for the Nationals. I have never stayed there, so I can't vouch for the facility. I am contemplating it as a possible camp spot for the Latemodel Nationals. If anyone is familiar with the place...I would be curious to hear.

Thx for the replies, folks!! The BA wldnt b a bad spot. I like its location. Whereabouts is L&J Automotive? Is that one of them places btwn the track and vandonlers? By dollar general area??

I have a campsite available for the week of the Nationals. It has electricity, modern bathrooms and showers, and free shuttle rides to and from the track. If interested call (319) 491-4111.

I've stayed at l & j for the last 3 years and its great. Convenient walk to the track, good people, and a nice restroom and shower!

L & J Automotive is located 2 blocks southeast of the Knoxville Raceway.We are half a block off Highway 14 across from the baseball field at the VA. We have spots for big and small campers and even tents. We have a full bathroom with shower, sink, urinal, and toilet (open during business hours). We also have a porta potty on site. I can see the Knoxville Raceway when I step out the front door of my shop. Call me with any questions (641)218-8271.
