F&F Racing Brings Home 3rd At Placerville ! /”The Ice Man” To Race 3 In A Row!

By Gary Costa

Placerville , CA – May 22, 2007 …The F&F Racing team towed into the Placerville pits last Saturday night, looking to improve in the point standings. The team dropped in a Borello 360 bullet, replacing the 410 we ran last Saturday at Silver Dollar Speedway for the Dave Bradway, Jr. Memorial.

The evenings festivities became a night of "3's". In qualifications, Colby Wiesz took the Alan Bradway tuned, Tony Borello powered, F&F Racing, Kaeding Performance, Maxim x1 to a third quick time on the evening. In Heat-3, Colby made the transfer into the main event, via his 3rd place heat race finish.

In main event action, “The Ice Man” was cool and calculating with his every move. A torrid battle between himself, Greg DeCaries and eventual winner Scott Kinney heated up. When the checkered flag fell on the evening, we crossed the line in the 3rd spot. Also coming with the third place finish, coupled with the team’s consistency, we moved into the 6th spot in Placerville's points.

Another consistent run buddy! “Yeah, we ran third the whole race. Then I went for second, but it didn’t work! Alan has had the car really hooked up every week, and the teams, as always, have been working really hard. I’ve also figured some things out with the help of Brent Kaeding. Placerville has been rough on entry, so I called BK for some driving advice that has really helped me. I can’t thank him enough for all of his help!”

Comin’ Atcha! This Friday night, the Steve Tuccelli and Alan Bradway owned mount will be at the Marysville Raceway Park , for round #3 of the California Sprint car Civil War Series. Colby knows this joint very well, as he is not only a multi-time track champion there, but he and the team picked up a win there earlier this year on March 24th. Saturday night at Chico you will see “The Ice Man” run his own car. Then on Sunday, it’s on again, at Silver Dollar Speedway, for another round of Civil War winged Sprint car action!

“Wide Open with the Ice Man!” “I’m so happy for you finishing in the top-5 at the Dave Bradway, Jr. Memorial. I hope you and the team have an awesome year. And keep kicking butt, you’re one awesome driver!” Sincerely, Shawn

“The Ice Man” Responds! “Hey, thanks Shawn for your response, it really means a lot to me and the team. We were real happy too, and we’re looking to keep the ball rolling. Stop by after the races sometime and introduce yourself to me and the team!”

Colby Wiesz and F&F Racing would like to thank all of those who make it possible for us to get to the track week-after-week. We couldn’t do it without all of your support!

If you have a question or comment for Colby or the F&F Racing team, please email Gary Costa @ [email protected]

Race fans please remember to stop by after the races and say hi!
