For any of you other guys lucky enough (cough cough) to be in or close to the Garden/Garbage state like me, NES just announced a 410 show with BB mods on Tues August 30th. Personally, I could do w/o the mods, but I get their thinking since it's generally a mod fanbase and they need to fill the seats with asses. Supposedly going to be a good/deep purse, so hopefully the PA guys travel and it's not just a bunch of field fillers.
Here are the details so far: Bob Miller/Len Sammons promoting. $30 GA $35 pits. More to come.
Peace!

I realize that there is no such thing as a cheap show at NES or Bridgeport, but $30 general admission for that show seems sky high. But I am sure the place will be packed, since winged 410s only visit every couple years or so.
I have been to NES a couple times this year, and the Mod racing left me kinda lukewarm. I am by no means a Pauch hater or a Modified hater, but it is ridiculous how bad he is outclassing everyone at NES anymore. Seems like much of the crowd there aren't pure race fans per se as much they would like to see Pauch lap the field three times if he could.

There's a list on the WGMB of some big Posse names that will be there.

Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speed Week rules. Purse: $4000 to win, $2000 to second, $1600 to third, $1500 to fourth and $1400 to fifth. Sixth and back will pay $1300 (sixth), $1200 (seventh), $1100 (eighth), $1025 (ninth) and $1000 (10th), $825 (11th), $725 (12th), $600 (13th), $525 (14th), $515 (15th) and $400 (16th-24th). There is no pre-entry fee, but drivers are asked to file a pre-entry for the event by August 12. $100 tow money to any non-qualifier, as long as a pre-entry was submitted. Looks like interest is growing pretty quick.
Singlefile: $30 may seem steep to PA fans but a 'regular' show at NES is allegedly $20 :/ . Not a big fan of the mods myself and haven't been there in a few years, but Pauch definitely owns there.

After many years of not attending a race at New Egypt, I have gone twice this year ( Yes admission on a REGULAR Saturday night is $20). I saw the USAC Sprints( $30) and URC ($25). Both times the racing was pretty good. The facility is First Class and the track has a unique shape with a slight dog leg between turns 2 and 3. I think it would be worth checking out the 410 race if you have never been there before. The admission price seems real steep if you are a Central Pa fan( heck fans at Williams Grove moan and groan all the time about the prices of a WoO race($28) but the fans in NJ just accept the prices as a way of life. Watching Pauch is worth the price of admission. At the URC race he started 17th and won in a photo finish.
