We might see a different driver in it as soon as the Knoxville Nationals. He just isnt what Kasey had hoped he'd be. If its not one thing, its another with Darrah. His good runs are few and far between. If he's not spinning out, he's making boneheaded decisions and tearing the car to shreds! Its only a matter of time.

dirtracefan, just curious, if it were up to you to choose one driver for the 91, who's it going to be? personally, (I'm probably going to get blasted for this one) i think kyle larson could give it a real good run. jmho

I wouldnt mind seeing either a kid like Kyle Larson(who would drive the pants off that car) or a steady veteran to fill in the rest of the year...someone who could be consistant and not tear a whole lot of equipment up...how about Daryn Pittman?

After the season is over, re-evaluate what Pittman has done and if he's done a great job, make him the full time driver of the Great Clips car. If not him, Id love to see either Kyle Larson or maybe a guy like Tim Shaffer or Shane Stewart get a shot at it. Dont get me wrong here folks. I know I get bashed on here for restarting this topic but I just cant see what Kasey Kahne sees in Darrah. I dont hate the kid and wish him bad luck but its absolutely clear as day he is waaaay over his head running with the Outlaws. He needs more seasoning running with the tough enough Pennsylvania Posse. How many times has he wadded a car up this year or been running decent and just loop the car around? The kid has got tons of potential but he's just not ready to run with the "Greatest Show On Dirt".There's too many good drivers out there deserving of a good ride like that!

even if you dont like the guy for bringing it up he does have a point. That equipment is expensive and there is a LONG list of veterans out there that would love to be on the road.

And I agree with whomever said Jason Sides would do GREAT in that car. Sides, with the best equipment available and unlimited funding, would no doubt be a contender for the championship. What would be kinda cool would be Sides with his long pony tail and his primary sponsor....Great Clips!! haha

EXACTLY the point Im trying to make. Like I stated, I dont hate Darrah at all. I respect the kid for what he's trying to do but he has no business being in that car. And like outlawfan stated, there are too many good, veteran drivers who deserve a ride like that.

I like Cody. He's a good driver and guy. I think he's being groomed for asphalt. Clean cut, well spoken. I think he can be a dandy sprint car driver and I hope that he can keep the ride for a couple years before he moves. He will be fine. Young guys deserve a shot here and there. If they didn't get that shot, what would we have? He's finding the edge over and over again because they can afford to let him. When he figures all that out, look out.

Sides has been running the outlaw tour for a number of years plus the help of SKR. how much better equipment can he get?
don't get me wrong, I am a fan of double down!

Dirt, may I call you dirt? It isn't your car. He has no business in that car, as far as you say. Plus, you are not involved in the business choices of Kasey's team choices.
IF IF I had millions of dollars. Be sure I would be owning sprint cars with alot of my friends, and friends I believe in piloting a car. I eve win the lottery I know the drivers I would have driving and most of you have never heard of them from Joe Schmo. But I'd be more than happy to fit the bill to bump them up.

I don't think you complaining about Cody is going to accomplish anything. Doing it once is 1 thing...doing it every other week is another.
