Unofficial... FT: Suggs 11.928 (track was very fast late afternoon)... H1: McMahan, T.K., B.K., Suggs... H2: Abreu, Eliason, Croft, Statler... H3: Tarlton, Murphy, Allard, Furr... Dash: McMahan, Abreu, Suggs, Allard... Main: Allard, Tarlton, McMahan, T.K., Suggs... Abreu and Statler taken out on lap 9, Statler's car on fire for some time... McMahan was leading at that time... Allard took the lead on lap 10... Gregg spun and then flipped on two shots at lap 23... Orville Burke Sr. "won" the wheelie contest after Bud K. almost hit one of the officials, and Burke himself flipped the car so badly it could not be repaired for the Main... one wonders how much discussion of wheelie contests will ensue.
