Who are these guys? Where are they from? How have they hooked this up from Coast to Coast and more importantly KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Personally, I have gone from covering over 100 sprint car races a year to a couple and am getting over my burn out with the help of these guys. I would love to hear from one of them with future plans etc. Thanks in advance....

Thank You for your kind words! Let me shed a little light on who we are and what we are up to...

Dirt Dog TV is based in Seattle, WA but is powered by the cooperative efforts of tracks, teams, series and fans from around the world. Our mission is simple: Report, Celebrate and Promote dirt motorsports. We have reporters/content producers in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Argentina, and are negotiating with folks in the UK, Canada, and South Africa.

Our Facebook page is where we have been building a global dirt community for the past year. It is the result of tireless, around the clock efforts of many people. Without any advertising, Dirt Dog TV on Facebook has been growing rapidly and now averages over 800K monthly post views in 19 countries and 16 languages. I attribute the success to the passion of our fans and the fact that we try to cover a little bit of everything that goes fast in circles on dirt. http://www.facebook.com/DirtDogTV

Later this month, Dirt Dog TV will launch an entirely new type of media entity that "levels the playing field" so that ANY track, team, series and independent videographer can leverage our tools for promotion and profit. Fans will get all the best dirt videos, news and programs in one place and how far a talented racer takes their career will no longer be determined by the size of their check-book. We will teach anyone with passion and dedication how to use video to pursue and secure bigger sponsors and how to produce MEANINGFUL marketing results to keep them happy. From kart racers to million dollar Outlaw teams, all will have the same ability to plug into our new network. We are starting small, but will quickly grow to over 100 channels and categories with over 4,000 new, “on demand” videos and programs at any given time.

All Dirt - Available Anywhere, Anytime!

The new network is not a website. It is a free app that we will release through our Facebook page.Dirt Dog TV will always be free to the viewers and will never have intrusive, “forced to watch” commercials or pop up ads. We are PC, Mac and Droid ready now, will be iPhone compatible in 3-4 months and on every web enabled television by the end of the year. All our videos and programs are interactive and most will feature multiple layers of “bonus content” similar to Blue Ray DVDs.

WE ARE NOT TRYING TO COMPETE WITH EXISTING WEBSITES! We have worked very hard to ensure that our technology will enhance the fantastic dirt racing sites that already exist. Our desire is to work with any web property owner to offer a better way to distribute and monetize their video content while simultaneously driving traffic to their site. It has taken us two years to design and build our system because I was not willing to continue unless it benefited everyone.

A Little History:

I love racing. I have been involved in motorsports off and on for over thirty five years as a driver, team owner, sponsor, flagman, Indy Car corner worker, dirt track promoter & announcer, sponsor rep, PR agent and racing school owner. I attended my first Indy 500 when I was seven years old, started racing karts when I was twelve and spent hundreds of my childhood Saturdays and Sundays at Hales Corners Speedway and the Milwaukee Mile. My first autograph was from Tom Bigelow on an issue of National Speed Sport News.

Two years ago, the seed of an idea was planted in my head. I was irritated by the lack of dirt motorsports coverage offered by mainstream media. Without any facts, related experience or technical foundation, I concluded that it must be possible to use the Internet to build an online media network for dirt track racing. My thought was to take all the dirt racing videos being uploaded to You Tube and Vimeo, offer the producers a better way to organize, enhance and monetize their content and do it in a manner that also offered more benefits to the fans and racers.

After thousands of hours and dollars of research and testing and a little serendipity… that little idea has grown into a business template that allows anyone to start out for free and build their own, branded media entity with our tools. We have a revenue sharing model that allows us to work cooperatively with independent media producers, participants and promoters. We offer our content partners global distribution to the core Dirt audience plus many benefits that traditional television, CDNs and You Tube simply cannot provide.

TOOLBOX Networks Inc. will beta test the Dirt Dog TV interactive network in a few days and release the full app in late July. The main reason DDTV works so well is because I had NO IDEA what I was doing when we started. I knew nothing about social networking or viral sharing and had never even used a video camera. We had to learn everything the hard way and can now teach others what works. We have gotten to where we are today simply because we ignored what people said “couldn’t be done” and focused on our goal of building a better solution for all four of our user groups:

1.Fans

2.Racers

3.Independent Content Producers

4.Sponsors

That and the fact that we are a group of people who still remember the joy and thrill that dirt racing provided in our childhood. We’re just little kids in bigger bodies. Yes, it is a business… but it is supposed to be FUN!

Sincerely,

Joe McConnell
