Congratulations to "Fast" Freddie Rahmer for winning the 2011 Pa Speedweek Championship. It was Rahmer's 12th Speedweek title. Although he didn't win any of the 8 races, he was fast all week, winning several fast time awards and had 5 top 5 finishes. He is driving a GF1 chassis this season. Other notes: it was the first time in many years that the weather cooperated with all 8 scheduled races being run. Maxim chassis took 7 of the 8 wins, with GF1 ( Henderson) getting the other win. Greg Hodnett had 3 wins and 2 seconds. Daryn Pittman had 1 win and 3 seconds. Alan Krimes got his first career win at Williams Grove, winning $10,000 for the Mitch Smith Memorial. Jason Johnson ran 6 of the 8 races with his best finish being a 2nd at Hagerstown. Overall, the car counts were up from previous years and the crowds were again strong, with Williams Grove having their biggest crowd of the season .

Yep, congratulations to Fast Freddy & good luck with his injury. Saw the last 4 nites, weather was beautiful, as was the Pa. countryside.

But I think the points system is a bit screwy. OK, consistency should be rewarded, but Hodnett won 3 features, Freddy didn't win any, & he takes Speedweek crown? A win should be worth lots more than Top5, fast time or any of that stuff. Just my 2 cents
