I am going to send Bedford another 40 bucks on Thursday for actually having enough sense to prepare their race track. Hagerstown was the twighlight zone tonight. Hideous conditions with lap times 3 seconds off by the end of TTs and an anouncer repeatedly mentioning how great the track was prepared. I was waiting for him to tell us we were watching airplanes instead of sprint cars too. They need to pave or close the place. It is such a shame because when they make an effort it is as good as any in the country. Congrats to Hodnett and Stauffer for finding a pinch of traction.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The heats were actually decent, the feature was a snoozefest.
Congrats to Greg

For a long time, Hagerstown at night used to be one of the absolute best tracks in the Northeast to watch Late Models or Modifieds or Sprint Cars race. As a matter of fact, probably the best race I have ever seen was a DIRT big-block series 100-lapper that had 17 official lead changes about seven or eight years ago. The last five or six times I have been to HT, not so much.

Agree,I couldn't wait to get to the races at Hagerstown each season, especially to see the Sprint Cars race. It was one of my favorite stops when the WoO used to race there on a regular basis. The place was always immaculate and the atmosphere outstanding. I don't feel the same way anymore. Look at tonight's top 10, very little movement on where each driver started. The track was just not right for any passing.
