crew change??if they got rid of Andy Potter they are frigin idiots!

Philip Dietz is now the current crew chief. Very smart man, was with Jason Johnson in 08 and 09. He was Brad Sweet's crew chief last year. Philip is a great crew chief!

There are definitely many drivers with more tour experience that would do better than Cody but he's got talent and I think that given time he will prove the naysayers wrong. It's his first year with a new team and he's never seen these tracks before so yes he's going to struggle just like any other WOO rookie has. Still he has had a few good runs and it wouldn't shock me if he pulled off a win this year.

Where do some of you guys think that future talent is ever going to come from if young drivers are never given opportunities or get kicked out four months into an opportunity? Pretty much every driver listed in this thread that "deserves" the ride is already in their 30s or 40s and has already had opportunities and has already shown that they are not going to win an Outlaw championship.

Maybe Darrah will develop into a racer capable of winning the championship in a couple years and maybe he won't. But any car owner looking to win championships and big races down the road has to find the next young superstar in Sprint Car racing. Recycling the same 40-year-old drivers over and over again isn't the path to a championship.

What's really ridiculous is people who don't have any money involved in Kkr thinking they should have an opinion on who drives kaseys cars ,

L.O.G. I don't think any of us intended to get you up on your high horse, but now you are up there telling everyone we can't even make a comment or have an opinion. I don't think anyone really cares what you think either. I suppose you never made a simple comment or voiced an opinion on anything. Stop, take a big breath.......things will be OK. And you are right, I don't have any $$$ in this car.

I agree Single,! Jac is my man and I would like to see him have the ride. However, if you are looking for new talent then go with Darrah. It is KKR money in the long run and he can afford it. Having a few proven drivers to show he has a strong team, then the one kid to push up and help teach. Be thankful a team has money to give young drivers a chance. Jac, Sammy, Steve and Rahmer will be on the way out soon.

K. Swindell, Kraig, Sheldon, Darrah, Wolfgang, L. Wolfe, ect. These guys have to have chances, otherwise our sport loses the factor of future.....of course granted, I still feel a lot of young guns, with their talent and age get passed over. I have seen people I KNOW could win many WoO races but never get the time, money or chance. more money than anything. Racing is a sport of money, I could have a great amount of talent and be a pro baseball player with just taking up the sport with a glove and a bat. Talent in any racing is hard to find cause the best race car driver ever could just be a low wage pipe fitter in the hills of Kentucky but he never had money to get behind a wheel.

One other point I wanted to make on here is that I have frequently read on here that Kevin Gobrecht would have one day won an Outlaw title and the Knoxville Nationals had he lived long enough to do so. Gobrecht's first couple years in a Sprint Car were about as wild and destructive as anyone I can remember seeing locally besides Todd Shaffer,.

I can remember watching Gobrecht tear cars up nearly every week those first couple years at Lincoln, and thinking he would have been fired many times over if he was not driving for a family owned team. Watching Gobrecht race nearly every week those first couple years, I never thought he would win the HBO and run third at the Nationals just a couple years later. And that was a guy that was several years older than Darrah and with multiple 30-win seasons in a Micro Sprint to his credit.

Oh, but you think it's perfectly OK to put your two cents in on a Walker bashing thread, and then you don't even get your facts right.... They have a name for that you know.

Hook Cody back up with Steve Suchy & you would see a big change in overall performance of the whole team. He was as much a factor on the Apple car in it's last couple of years as Lee was.

Mainly because he would maintain the car. That is Lee's downpoint. They have more issues than most teams dropping out of races.

Dirtracer21 is the start of most Darrah complaints bring him out in the open and get down to the real reason he is upset about Darrah!! This kid after being off a whole entire season just needs to get some seat time at the different tracks and You will see different results! Let me tell you there is probaly few who have the desire to succeed as Cody does, his drive is second to none and if you took the time to talk to him you would see that immediately and I believe that is what seen in him.

They have struggled with some internal issues but are heading in the right direction.

Put a chevy in the 91. That would make it fast! Stop blaming poor Cody. Those Mopars have never been worth a hoot.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Yeah, just ask Josh Higday about Cody's "desire to succeed"

This is the problem, going 100 mph wheel to wheel things are going to happen. Cody needs to know when to back off the throttle at times to avoid contact & damage to the cars around him,,,,my point is Kasey has the funds to put the 91 back together but he is NOT paying the bills to rebuild the cars Cody is taking out along with his.He has talent ,just needs to use his head & left foot a little bit more .

If Cody wasn't from PA, he wouldn't take half the heat he does on this board. Part of the reason certain PA fans are so obnoxious when the WoO comes to town, is because certain sprint car fans from elsewhere are the same way other times. Cody is running decent, he's tearing up some equipment, he's 21 and it's his first year on the road. he's not supposed to be as good as Kinser, Swindell, Schatz, Saldana, Meyers, etc... Go back to Schatz's stats when he was 21 and let me know if he was considered a WoO title contendor or not that year? It's a rhetorical question, you don't have to answer. Frankly, I think the better young driver from PA is in the 5W, not the 91, so I'm hardly his fan club. Almost everyone that has been listed as a "replacement" has had their chance. The only one I saw listed that seemed legitimate to me is Pittman, and based on his views of his current Heffner team, he's not exactly upset about his current situation. Watch out, he may be the next to realize you can make a fine living racing in PA and hitting other big shows occasionally, versus driving back and forth across the country non-stop.

I dunno, the bashing of fans and drivers and tracks and anything PA on here has always seemed overwhelmingly one sided. How many posters on here from PA post just to bait people and start shit, probably two or three specfically? There are dozen of posters on here on the other side of the fence that contribute nothing other than bashing away on anything from PA.

So his opinion is that you should not have that opinion so what your point

I think you can have a opinion but if you haven't walked in the shoes it does not count

Why read/post on a message board if you don't want to hear others opinions? How do officials get elected? You likely have never been in Congress but ya vote on it same thing?

...and that sentence left a lot out. If you actually come to PA to watch a big sanctioned race, you'll find 95% of fans will welcome you with a cold beer and a seat next to them. They may not root for Schatz with you, but you'll have a great night just the same. The other 5% are just assholes, and they exist in all 50 states. I do get it to some extent. Very few people like someone that's spoiled, and with a minimum of three 410 shows a week for $13-$20 a show, PA fans are definitely spoiled when it comes to winged sprint cars. Don't worry, it's our reward for having to deal with living in PA the rest of the time...
